Good to know

The wineries cluster in four stretches: along the Niagara Parkway beside the river, around Old Town, on Niagara Stone Road through Virgil, and up toward St. Davids under the escarpment. Each makes an easy half-day, and Old Town has the shops, restaurants and the Shaw Festival for the rest.

The Parkway is also a cycling route, and several wineries are close enough to visit by bike. Summer and harvest weekends are busy, especially on the Parkway; weekday mornings are calmest.
