Good to know

A winery is on this list when its own website mentions accessible, wheelchair or barrier-free access. That can mean a step-free tasting room, an accessible washroom, accessible parking, or all three; sites rarely say which.

Vineyard tours, cellars and patios on uneven ground may not be accessible even when the tasting room is. Before you go, call the winery and ask about the parts of the visit that matter to you.

Questions

Are Niagara wineries wheelchair accessible?

Many tasting rooms are; 75 wineries say so on their own sites. Tours and cellars vary, so call ahead.

Do accessible wineries have accessible washrooms?

Often, but not every site says. Ask when you call.

Can I book an accessible tasting?

Most wineries will seat you where it suits you if you mention it when booking.

Profiles are written from each winery's own site and reviewed before publishing. Regions are Wine Country Ontario's two: Niagara-on-the-Lake & Area and the Niagara Benchlands & Area.

Featured listings are paid for by the winery. They are shown above other listings for the day or region and labelled wherever they appear. Everything else is ordered by time, and editorial picks are not for sale.
