Good to know

Bring water and a bowl, a towel for muddy paws, and a long leash for the trail. Ask at each stop where your dog is welcome inside; patios are the safe bet.

About an hour from Toronto on the QEW: exit at Beamsville, and the wineries are a few minutes up the escarpment.
