Good to know

Most dog-friendly wineries welcome dogs on the patio and the grounds. Indoors is up to each winery, and where food is served it is often service animals only. A winery that welcomes dogs on a quiet Tuesday may ask you to leave them home on a busy harvest weekend or during a private event.

Bring water and a leash, and keep your dog off the vines. Call the winery before you go if your plans depend on it: we list what their site says, and rules change.

Featured listings are paid for by the winery. They are shown above other listings for the day or region and labelled wherever they appear. Everything else is ordered by time, and editorial picks are not for sale.
